Voedselbank
In steeds meer steden worden plekken gecreëerd om voedsel op kleine schaal te telen. Direct en vers beschikbaar voor de stadsmens en een goede manier om te zien hoe groente en fruit kan groeien. Gemakkelijk te bereiken voor onderhoud en oogst. Dit verhoogde plant vak noemen we de voedselbank. Wij laten zien hoe rijk het kan zijn om eten in je eigen omgeving te verbouwen. Het is een prachtige plek waar we allerlei eetbare planten, keukenkruiden en groentes laten groeien en later zullen oogsten.
De voedselbank wordt gevoed met waterspuwers. Daardoor blijft de bodem op een aantal plekken lekker vochtig, je kunt dit zelf bereiken door de hemelwaterafvoer in je tuin af te koppelen. Op de zonnige plaatsen verdampt het water sneller en is het dus minder vochtig. Hier groeien de vaste kruiden. Op de meer vochtige plekken groeien eenjarige kruiden en groentes. Omdat er telkens geoogst wordt, zal het beeld het hele seizoen wisselen.

Food bank
More and more cities are opting to create spaces for the small-scale cultivation of food. Directly and freshly available to city dwellers and a great way of showing how fruit and vegetables can grow. Easily reached for maintenance and harvesting. We refer to this raised plant plot as the food bank. We aim to show how enriching it can be to grow food in your own environment. This is a fantastic location where we cultivate all kinds of edible plants, kitchen herbs and vegetables, which will be harvested in due time.
The food bank is watered by waterspouts. This keeps the soil nice and moist at a number of spots, which you could easily achieve by disconnecting the rain pipes in your garden. In the sunnier spots, the water evaporates more quickly and the soil is therefore drier. This is the perennial herb garden. Annual herbs and vegetables require the wetter soil. Thanks to the regular harvesting process, each season will produce a different look in the garden.
The long stacked brick wall in the shade is home to a variety of small rockery plants which jointly form a healthy basis with great biodiversity.
